On August 15, 2022, the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) announced the launch of the Medicare-Medicaid Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) in five regions. The Illinois PACE contracts were awarded in June 2024 by HFS and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
