The role of palliative care services in patients with cardiac arrest complicating acute pulmonary embolism has been infrequently studied. Palliative care services are used in only 16.8 % of admissions with cardiac arrest complicating pulmonary embolism with significant differences in the populations, suggestive of selective consultation.
