- Stephen Connor, PhD, Executive Director for the Worldwide Hospice Palliative Care Alliance was honored with the Herman Feifel Award for Contributions to Thanatology from the International Work Group on Death, Dying and Bereavement (IWG). Herman Feifel wrote the first academic book on death, dying and bereavement in 1959. Founders of the IWG included Cicely Saunders, Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, Herman Feifel and other luminaries of the time.
- Melanie Perry Hall, President and CEO for Hospice of Huntington, West Virginia, is being honored with the City of Huntington Foundation's 2025 Wall of Fame.

These awards are based on satisfaction scores from the Hospice Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) survey.
